It seems like there is a reservoir of unfocused anger that has nothing to do with politics that finds an outlet there.

Take the current school board controversy for example. If the school board isn’t doing their job, don’t get angry — get a recall petition from the secretary of state, gather signatures and replace them.

But many people would rather go to board meetings, yelling, screaming and threatening. Not just once in a fit of righteous passion, but as if yelling, screaming and threatening were the path to political influence. It makes no sense.
