Democrats Are Sleepwalking into a Trump Presidency
While the Biden campaign descends into imitating Trumps insults it is failing to confront the economic downturn that is driving voters to support Trump
In case you missed it, recent economic developments are playing into the hands of Trump and the GOP.
· Dollar Tree, Family Dollar and Walmart all report a surge in new customers who make over $100,000 annually. The Dems should be looking at that number like the alarm bell that is it is.
· Instead, they surround Biden with staffers on the way to the Marine One helicopter to block images of his doddering shuffle, but don’t take advantage of embarrassing outbursts from the right wing of the GOP. House Republicans are not so sanguine about the antics of their colleagues, however.
· GDP growth dropped from 3.4% to 1.6% in the first quarter of 2024, weakened by almost zero exports and steadily increasing imports. We aren’t making things for the rest of the world; instead, we are buying what the rest of the world makes with debt created out of thin air by the Fed and sold to Wall Street.
· Inflation increased to 3.4% between March 2023 and March 2024. During the same period wages increased by only .6%. This news is a gift to Trump and a curse to Biden. Trump supporters are largely alienated blue-collar workers left…
